my first crush !!!

A hell lot of people talks a hell about thier prima facie love...is it Love...really???
I assume it is "Lust at first sight" most of the time and for many of us.

Anyways, many would second me and remaining few would disagree to me, including myself.

Flashback....
I was in class 10...one of my friend got a Dish TV connection in his home. After returning from
tution, i along with my other friends used to hangout for an hour or so in the evening in his house
watching Dish TV which was so uncommon for us that time....a completely new excitement that too
when we were nearing our Board Exams....oh Jesus!

I remember We normally used to watch MTV channel, which was famous for back to back hit songs, albums..etc..
a totally new concept apart from Rangoli, chitrahaar and others and the show name was MTV Bakara.
I don't know what others lwere liking or iked in that show, but i got my first crush from there.
I was simply smitten by her smile, her beauty, the way she used to carry herself...blah blah blah but
aboveall her way of speaking esp english.

Post my Board Exams, I made a regular habit of visiting my friend's place just for watching and hearing my
crush's english mannerism.

friend: aur bhai tu kis se shaadi karega.
me: i refrained from taking any girls name of my class and honestly said ... yaar mujhe woh MTV walli sahi
lagti hai.
friend: kaun?
me: arey mtv bakara waale ki host...
friend: abey woh....saale woh tujhse kyun saadi karegi aur uski english suni hai ...kitni phaad hai.
me: isliye to achi lagti hai...
friend: haan to pehle uski level ki angrezi sikh le.

My friends might have taken this lightly but my friend's above line about her a kind of completely
shattered me from inside, because I started my academics from Hindi medium and english was kind of ok, ok..
obviously not at all par with hers but I am sure i knew more english than my friends.

I was kind of heartbroken, i started looking out for ways to learn more english. I could not ask my Dad, because
recently i had taken a english tution for my board exams, actually that english was enough to pass the exam but not to
impress my crush.

Anyways, i found an easy and free of cost way of doing this...learing the vocab from the then time famous
Bhargava's dictionary...started taking 5-10 words daily, framing the words into sentences so that i can recollect
it easily and i think I was kind of fascinated to this my habit. I was completely unaware of any kind of gain out
of this. There was a time when I had remembered almost 40% of that dictionary...
This habit of learing vocab inculated in me so deeply that it goes on today as well and has become a kind of hobby.

So, It was my first crush who indirectly urged me to learn something a better english, a better vocab.

She was none other than "Sehnaaz Treasurywalla". I have never met her and will definitely before i die, as she
has been the driving force behind my english, if I know any.
